My name is Ben Heck, stationed in the heart of Boston where I wear multiple musical hats—I'm a touring artist with my band Trophy Husband, an instructor offering both virtual and face-to-face drum sessions, a collaborative songwriter across various projects, and always in the throes of planning my next big move!

I found myself tossed into drumming when I was just 9 years old. Fast forward a bit, and I was hitting every school band or ensemble I could find. In 2021, I took things up a notch and got into Berklee College of Music. It was all music, all the time for two solid years. But here’s the twist - I decided to leave Berklee. Yep, packed up to chase a full-on music career that’s got a bit of everything – touring, laying down tracks in the studio, teaching, and whatever else the music world throws at me.

I even started a band called Trophy Husband; an electrifying progressive funk band committed to breaking the norms of traditional genre boundaries. Over the past two years, we've lit up stages across the Northeastern United States, capturing hearts with our compelling rhythms and skilled performances. Our musical journey has taken us from intimate college basements to expansive club venues.

As a session drummer, I have had the pleasure of recording with artists such as Max Kozol, Joey Madison, Griffin Benton, and Aaron Fitzgerald. I'm also in the process of writing and recording multiple projects with other local artists. For as long as I can remember, drumming has been my calling. Throughout my music career, my focus has been on cultivating versatility behind the drum set, allowing me to fit seamlessly into any musical setting. Whether it's live performances, studio recording sessions, music videos, or any other project requiring rhythmic precision, I am confident in my ability to deliver.

As for my career as a drum instructor, well, I started that all the way back in the 10th grade; a venture that swiftly evolved into a crucial element of my musical endeavors. Within a span of 6 years, my private teaching business flourished, drawing in students from ages 6 to 65, ranging from novices to advanced practitioners. My passion for teaching has also led me to conduct several clinics and frequently revisit Lansdale, PA, my hometown, to contribute to the local school district's music program.
